Foam vs Panels
What's more effective?
Hey! This is Ernesto, I'm excited to share with you the first edition of "The Producer Lab" newsletter, jam-packed with production insights, industry news, and all things electronic music! Enjoy!
Foam vs Panels
When it comes to acoustic treatment for your home studio, both acoustic foam and panels have their pros and cons. Acoustic foam is cheaper and easier to install, making it ideal for small rooms and high-frequency issues. Our top choice for foam is Auralex. However, acoustic panels are more efficient per square foot, look better, and offer better sound absorption, making them perfect for larger spaces and bass frequencies. Although they are more expensive, our top choice for panels and DIY kits is GIK Acoustics. In order to determine which option is best for your specific needs, consider factors such as budget, room size, and the desired level of sound absorption.
