Sidechain Is Ruining Your Track
Here's why...
Hey! This is Ernesto, today I'll show you why sidechain might not be for you, our track of the week, Fred Again does Tiny Desk and the best track of the week.
Sidechain Is Ruining Your Track
Sidechain compression is a widely used technique in electronic music, but overusing it can be detrimental to your mix. If you correctly mix your kick and bass, ensuring they are in the right key and occupy their own space in the frequency spectrum, you may not need to sidechain as much as you think. You can even turn your kick and bass into audio and fade the audio clips to create a perfect sidechain effect without relying on heavy compression. Watch this to learn how to mix without sidechain.
