But how does it work? Automation allows you to make dynamic changes to your tracks over time. You can automate volume, panning, sustain, effects, and more to add movement and interest to your mix.

But here's the real magic: automation can take you out of the “basic” loop and help your music evolve in a more organic way. Imagine your synths growing and opening up throughout the track, just like they would if played live.

You can use automation to gradually increase the reverb on a vocal track during a build-up or to pan a sound effect from left to right to create a sense of space. It's like having a virtual hand on the knobs, constantly tweaking and adjusting to bring your tracks to life.

Automation is what separates amateur tracks from professional ones, it is what creates complete tracks instead of one loop after another.
